February 6 marks 100 days until the May 16 primary election. Democratic mayoral candidate Jay Breneman introduced his detailed campaign platform to mark the occasion.
At the announcement of his candidacy on November 11, 2016, Breneman laid out his broad vision for Schools, Neighborhoods, and Jobs in the City of Erie, and his rejection of business as usual in City Hall. With the introduction of his platform, Breneman explains in detail his agenda for civic progress, “Erie’s New Deal: A Standard for the Future of Erie.”
“My platform represents a bold vision for Erie. It is explicitly tied to Erie Refocused, the city’s comprehensive plan, and it is rooted in economic development and action,” Breneman said. The Breneman platform includes tax incentives for commercial and residential investment, revitalization of Erie’s neighborhoods, and skills-based programs for Erie’s youth.
